I received my Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2005. My areas of specialization include development economics, applied microeconomics, labor & demographic economics, and consumer behavior. Much of my recent research has focused on:

• the impact of prices on household decisions,
• health, and in particular, the impact of health on employment and earnings,
• intra-household bargaining, and
• the impact of cellular phone technology in developing countries.
