His methodological research deals with causal inference in the social sciences. His substantive research is in social demography, social stratification, and family sociology. Currently, Felix delights in puzzling selection artifacts in human mortality and develop methods for causal inference in social networks.<\/p>\n<p>At the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Elwert teaches a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ssc.wisc.edu\/soc\/courses\/syllabi\/952Elwert1213S.pdf\">graduate seminar<\/a>\u00a0in causal inference and a large\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ssc.wisc.edu\/soc\/courses\/syllabi\/120Elwert1112S.pdf\">undergraduate lecture<\/a>\u00a0course.
