She received her PhD in Sociology from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sociology.ucla.edu\">University of California, Los Angeles<\/a> in 2006 and her bachelor\u2019s degree from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reed.edu\">Reed College<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Her primary research interests are in social demography, family, and stratification. Much of her research focuses on the link between demographic change and social inequality. Her current research examines the relationship between changes in union formation and dissolution, assortative mating, and income inequality in the United States.
